Kangaroo… The “Green” Meat?

Switching from beef to kangaroo burgers could significantly help to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, says an Australian scientist.

The methane gas produced by sheep and cows through belching and flatulence is more potent than carbon dioxide in the damage it can cause to the environment.

Cool thought. I did try kangaroo meat before and it tastes pretty similar to chicken. However, it is kind of weird that someone from Australia is promoting the slaying of their national icon to be served on our dinner tables. Hmmm, is this just another way to revitalise the Australian export economy?
